Hive Hosting – Terms and Conditions

1. Service Overview

Hive Hosting provides web hosting, domain registration, and related technical services. All services are subject to the conditions outlined in these Terms.

2. Account Setup and Eligibility

Clients must provide accurate, complete, and current contact and billing information. By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to use our services for illegal activities, sending spam, running malicious software, infringing intellectual property, or disrupting networks. Violations may lead to suspension or termination without notice.

4. Domains and Ownership

Domains are registered on your behalf via third parties. You retain ownership of domains in your name and are responsible for renewing them on time.

5. Support and Service Limitations

Hive Hosting provides support for hosting issues but not for third-party tools unless explicitly stated. Support tickets are generally responded to within 24 business hours.

6. Billing, Suspension, and Account Deletion Policy

6.1 Billing Frequency and Resource Allocation: Services are billed monthly or yearly. Hosting fees cover reserved resources and are not based on usage. Billing continues regardless of activity.

6.2 Non-Usage Does Not Waive Billing Obligations: Fees apply continuously, similar to renting physical space.

6.3 Payment Terms, Grace Period, and Suspension: Invoices are due on issue date. If unpaid after 5 days, services may be suspended. During suspension, all access is blocked.

6.4 Reactivation of Suspended Accounts: Accounts can be reactivated upon full payment. Payment plans may be available at Hive Hosting's discretion.

6.5 Automatic Deletion of Inactive Accounts: If suspended or inactive for 12 months, data may be permanently deleted with 30 days’ notice.

⚠ Important: Once deleted, data cannot be recovered. Recovery, if possible, costs $50.

6.6 Client Responsibilities: Clients must monitor payments, report issues, keep contact details current, and maintain personal backups. Clients must protect their cPanel access at all costs. If login details are shared with someone who causes data loss, Hive Hosting will not be held responsible.

6.7 Data Security, Backups, and Client Access: Clients are solely responsible for data backup. All cPanel accounts include security tools like 2FA, SSL, and IP controls. Clients must use strong passwords and change temporary passwords immediately after login.

7. Termination and Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. No refunds for partial billing periods. We may terminate service for violations, abuse, or non-payment.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or indirect damages. Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the past 3 months for affected services.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Hive Hosting against any loss or damage resulting from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates implies acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your local jurisdiction. Disputes shall be resolved in local courts or via arbitration.
